The Artifactory’s very own Swarf-O-Mat CNC Mill is officially on-line, having produced a build bed for the RepRap v2 ‘Mendel’ 3D printer as well as a Jarrah collet holder, proudly dispayed by its creator below.
After letting the smoke out in early January, thanks to a chinese-only manual for our spindle’s voltage regulator, the Swarfomat has been reborn with a new spindle and new regulator!
The Artifactory’s CNC Router, the ‘Swarfomat’ , made its inaugural cut last night into a piece of scrap pine to test the spindle and cooling system. This represents 3 months of hard work by SKoT and others and will hopefully be ready for use by members within the next couple of weeks.
