Coil Driver Kit

The Coil Driver Kit is a high performance switch with a built-in comparator based oscillator circuit, what this means is that in addition to the traditional Jacobs Ladder arrangement you can use it for a variety of fascinating projects, we've used it to build a Plasma Speaker and a Magnetic Levitator.

Features

• Optically Isolated TTL input for external oscillator.
• Frequency & PWM control for internal oscillator.
• Break-in point for PWM comparator threshold (for modulating an arc as a plasma-speaker)
• Additional comparator break-ins for experimentation & evildoery.
• Push-pull transistor driver for harder, less lossy switching.
• High voltage IGBT switch, drop-in compatible with most N channel MOSFET's for high current, low voltage applications.
• Shiny gold-plated pads, no more oxide layer!
• Safety Feature: Zener diode array to clamp inductive spike at 375v sucking up 25W of power when they need to. These can be removed at your own risk for bigger zaps.
• Safety Feature: Dual 10W resistors as a current limiter, the 2.2Ω resistors are in parallel, giving you 1.1Ω with 20W of heat dissipation capability. These can be removed at your own risk for bigger zaps.
